Hello all!

Many thanks to Chris for helping us at the truck last week! There are still openings available for later in the summer.

Did we get any rain here?
About 7 1/2 inches last week, followed by a beautiful weekend, followed by another week of rain. All day yesterday, off-and-on today, called for the rest of week. It has become more than just a pain... Potatoes are rotting in the mud, plant diseases are spreading, we aren't offering some items this week that must be picked dry or they'll spoil (green beans, most basil). It can stop anytime.

This was our farm entry road last Wednesday, me following Chris in on my way home from the orchard.

This week's produce will include.. (new/back) (sale)
  • Greens: arugula, cabbage, chard (bags & bunches), dandelions, lettuce (bags & heads) , kale (bags & bunches) & pea shoots.
  • Veggies: beans (Romano pole), beets, carrots, sweet corn, cucumbers (Diva, slicers & picklers), Italian eggplant, garlic, mushrooms (oyster & shiitake) , onions (sweet), peppers (green bell, sweet banana & cayenne), potatoes (red, purple & fingerlings), scallions, summer squash & zucchini, tomatillos & tomatoes (red field, Brandy Boy heirloom, roma & two types of cherries).
  • Herbs: Sampler, basil (just the small size of our best... we'll have to lay it all out to dry), chives, sage, soup sorrel & mint (peppermint & spearmint).
  • Fruit, berries & melons: apples (Dandee Red & Pristine), cantaloupes, white nectarines, peaches, plums (Castleton prune & yellow) & rhubarb.
  • Eggs & Cheese: eggs, the usual cheeses (plus smoked cheddar!).
  • Miscellany: apple sauce, honey, strawberry jam, campfire wood.

[photo] And we still have lots of summer squash!

Hope you can find something on the list that looks or sounds good to you! Have a good week and hope to see you Saturday.

Thanks for your support,
Randy, Chris & Sam
