[photo] Our Italian basil is really taking off, and we have lots available this week.

[photo] Our tomatoes in the tunnel are coming along nicely.

This week's produce line up (green means "new")

  • Greens: arugula, chard, dandelions, kale, lettuce mix, pea shoots, lettuce, cabbage & stir-fry mix.
  • Veggies: beans, beets, carrots, sweet corn (including by-the-dozen), cucumbers, eggplant, garlic, sweet onions, potatoes, scallions, summer squash (including mixes & seconds) and tomatoes.
  • Mushrooms: Criminis (that's all we'll be carrying for the rest of the summer)
  • Herbs: basil, chives, garlic chives, cilantro, Italian parsley, lavender, lemon balm, mint (peppermint, spearmint & a "meadow tea" pack), rosemary, sage, shiso, French sorrel, tarragon and our mini-sampler.
  • Eggs: Yep, we've got 'em.
  • Cheeses: 6 kinds, plus goat demi-sec.
  • Preserves: yep, both sweet & savory.
  • Fruit & Berries: peaches, nectarines, blueberries, and we've reclassified rhubarb to this category. [We'll have our last raspberries at the truck on Saturday.]
  • Campfire wood: for your outdoor fire ring.

Planned "Volunteerless" Saturdays are over...
My wacky idea of having people get their own orders off the truck actually seems to have been a decent one. Now we know we can do it, and that's what will happen when scheduled volunteers cancel or can't make it. You can sign up to volunteer on the truck right there on the calendar at the truck any Saturday.

[photo] The Japanese plum tree that graced the front of our house for over 40 years died over the last two years. Yesterday was "take it out" day.

I guess we'll have to come up with a new plan for the shade garden that was under it!
