Hello all, and welcome back!

[photo] This was what we got a week ago today, nearly a foot, our largest snowfall of the winter.The 'wrap' of snow coming off the roof reminds me of the Flying Nun!

Most is gone now, except where it drifted. And we're left with a gray, dreary, wet and cold place!

Farm news...
We're still stuck with lots of nighttime temps in the teens, hardly very springlike, and hard to get me to crank up the heater in the greenhouse at those temps, knowing I could just about watch the needle on the propane tank go down.

Is there a way to get our store to 'remember' your credit card info so that you don't have to re-enter it every time?
That was a discussion I had with several members at the truck last time. So I looked into it and yes, it's just a switch that we can flip. The catch is that it only is available if we upgrade our plan to one that costs 2-1/2 times as much. Not gonna happen. It crossed my mind that maybe if you use PayPal, it will remember? [If you have experience with that, please let me know.] If it does, that would be another reason to use PayPal. It doesn't cost us any more than regular cards, and is supposedly safer for you.

Electronic woes...
About two weeks ago my 3-yr-old smart phone gave up. I got a new phone and transferred what I could from the old one. Sounds simple; it hasn't been. I had no idea how screwed up IT tech could get (when done by someone who thinks they can figure it out, but in the end hasn't been able to), but we've found lots of ways. Luckily, it seems none of them completely impede our running this online business. Yay. Surprise!

This week's produce ... (new or back, or end!)
As is typical at this time of the year, the storage items are disappearing and the greens are popping up to fill some of the gap. Hope you can find something to your liking. Remember, there's no minimum order!

  • Kits: roasted carrots & potatoes, parsnip & apple soup, bahn mi slaw, sorrel soup, turnip soup, and seconds roasted roots.
  • Greens: arugula, cabbage, chard, cress, a few bunches of dandelions, mixed kale, head lettuce, mache (corn salad), microgreens, pea & sunflower shoots, spinach & our stir-fry greens mix. (This is all, of course, grown under cover.)
  • Veggies: dried Lima beans, beets, carrots (2 kinds), hothouse cucumbers, garlic, Jerusalem artichokes, onions (2 kinds), parsnips, cayenne peppers, potatoes (4 kinds), winter radishes (2 kinds, the end for watermelon), rutabagas, shallots, sweet potatoes, and turnips.
  • Herbs: cilantro, parsley, sorrel, and one or two each of several other herbs.
  • Apples: Fuji, Gold Rush, JonaGold, Jonathan, Pink Lady & seconds.
  • Eggs & Cheeses: chicken & duck eggs, plus the usual cheese (and including Tomato/Basil flavored goat cheese curd). Yum!
  • Jars or bottles: cider, apple sauce, honey, maple syrup, blueberry & strawberry jams, and zucchini relish.
  • Firewood

Lots of planting going on in the greenhouse.

Anna got me a specialty clamp-on lens for my phone at Christmas, and I haven't had much excuse to use it yet. Tested out the close-up this afternoon in the greenhouse. It's REALLY close-up. I expect to find more uses for it as the season progresses. (This is rosemary, by the way.)

And a week-old tomato 'start' in a tray on a heat pad in the greenhouse.
